Problem adding new database (password is incorrect)

I installed aa panel on a freshly installed ubuntu and I am creating database and when I am clicking create i am getting error msg that password is incorrect. I have fixpanel, reinstalled mysql different version , starting stopping service but problem remains same. Any suggestions or tweaks to follow???

What is your version of ubuntu? I used 18.4 to test everything is normal.

Hello, please try to modify the data root password

edit /etc/my.cnf and add in config:

[mysqld]
skip-grant-tables

after restart mysql:
service mysqld restart

change password in MySQL maintence:

/www/server/mysql/bin/mysql -u root -p
mysql> flush privileges;
mysql> Set new password by ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'NewPassword';
