In the meanwhile I actually found out why you're being able to install PHP8: because you're using the FAST install instead of the COMPILED install.
Do you know the difference between them?
And yes, aaPanel's scripts have serious problems. And guys like you strutting around saying there's no problem and its the distro fault only mask these issues for other users, contributing to them never being fixed. I actually feel you'd be a perfect fit for the aaPanel development team. Complete "Successify"
EDIT: another probable cause for you being able to install and run, is because you are using an OS template which is not a minimal install.
When we setup web servers, we always use the minimal install. Packages are only added on a need-to basis. This both decreases the clutter on the servers, and reduces possible security issues.
The aaPanel script, if it were any good, would install those packages (like the oniguruma package for example). It doesn't, and that's why issues then exist.
